A custom version
Sell in one more place. Not run one more business.
You already sell. Adding a way to sell should be a setting, and instead it has always been a second business with its own login, its own catalog and its own version of what is in stock.
Your platform
SampleWhat is actually hard about it
Every new way to sell arrives as another thing to run
Nobody chose a stack. It accumulated, one channel at a time, and now the counter is where the systems come to be reconciled by hand at the end of the day. The stock is right in two places and true in neither.
What it does today
This part is already here.
The store sells your register's own catalog
Not a second product list that has to be kept in step with the first one. What is on the shelf and what is on the site are the same records, so a price you change is changed in both places because there are not two places.
Who bought it is on the order, not in a second system
The name, the email and where it is going are part of the order itself, recorded once when it is placed. Whether that becomes a customer you keep is your decision afterwards, not something the checkout decides for you.
Orders come in with somewhere to go
An order arrives on the same order list the register writes to, gets held while it is being paid for, releases when it is not, and shows up among the things that can actually be fulfilled. That is the boring half of commerce and it is the half that goes wrong.
Your own records, shaped the way your products actually are
Not a fixed product form with fields you leave blank. You describe what you sell and the system holds that shape, whether it is a size and a finish or a serial number and a warranty date.
The playbooks are already written, and you can rewrite them
A new order out the door. A first-time buyer becoming a regular. Restocking before you run out. Launching a product. When an order goes wrong. Each one is an ordered path over tools you already have, and each one becomes yours to edit the moment you install it.
Not here yet
That is what we are building Foundry to be.
Everything under this heading is a thing we are building and have not shipped. It is here because you should be able to see where this is going, and separated because you should never have to guess which half of a page is a promise.
The part that runs the playbook for you
Today a playbook is a path a person walks, and we say so rather than calling it an automation. Nothing fires it when an order lands, because there is nothing to fire it yet. That is what we are building next, and these same paths are what it will run.
Your own address on it
A store opens on a Foundry address today. Bringing your own domain is what we are building next.
The system that builds the records with you
That is what we are building Foundry to be: you describe what you sell in a sentence, and the shape of it gets proposed back to you to approve rather than filled in by hand. It proposes. You approve. That order does not reverse.
What changes
One business, however people buy
Adding a channel stops being a decision about whether you can absorb another system, and goes back to being a decision about whether there is demand.
Scale your business. Not your tech team.
We are opening Foundry in waves. Tell us about your business and we will come to you.
